Fading colors

The transition from Fall to Winter seems to suck the vibrant color from the land. Turning to a lot of blue and gray. But if you look you might get lucky enough to find a patch of color along the road, in a river bed, or nestled in a fallen tree.

Arches National Park Day 2 - Fiery Furnace, Devil's Playground, and more

The Fiery furnace is an area of Arches that is not mapped and has no set paths for you to follow. Making it a mini adventure unusual to most National Parks. Though no spot was available for a guided entry with a Park Ranger. A small excursion was made inside.

Similar in it's structure is the Devil's Playground. Which has had paths made around this area of the Park to help you get where you need to go.

Arches National Park - Delicate Arch and Day 1

Located in southern Utah Arches National Park is well known for well.. it's arches. Having now spent only a small amount of time there it has so much more to offer and will definitely bring a second visit. Next week will bring some additional landscapes to view of this beautiful park from the second day of exploring.

Star Gazing at Tony's Grove

Spent some time staring up towards the sky at Tony's Grove Lake waiting for the Big Dipper to fall low enough to land in view. It's a lovely spot to sit and watch. Especially nice this late into fall with the cool temperatures and quiet environment.

Shoot at the Sugar Factory

I have been wanting to take someone to the old Sugar Factory for photos for some time and was lucky enough to have a volunteer. Somewhat of a begging to dabbling in portrait photography as I seem to more often be doing landscape. But I look forward to doing some more. In a lot of the landscape shots I do, I find myself wishing there was some human element to it!

San Francisco: Golden Gate Bridge, China Town, Fisherman's Wharf, and a whole lot of hills.

Quick visit to San Francisco after leaving Yosemite to explore this notable town. Walking around the Northern end of the island will get you to everything you want to see quick. Though with the hills this city is built on, your calves will feel it later!

You can see Alcatraz from most vantage points that are high enough to see over buildings. Along with the Golden Gate bridge. Though of course both are reliant on the current weather keeping any fog out of the area.
